Description
Both the leaves and the seeds of this annual plant can be used for seasoning. While the leaves are primarily used in Asian dishes, ground seeds enhance cakes, gingerbread, bread, and game dishes.
Our tips:
- Optimal germination temperature: 20°C
- Cover seeds with soil to the thickness of the seed
- Harden off before planting out
- Direct sowing: sow evenly and later thin out to a spacing of 15 cm in the row
- The leaves have a typically spicy taste, while the seeds are sweetish
