Bingenheimer Saatgut Red Cabbage, "Rodynda"

This short-stalked, vigorous variety produces firm, high-oval heads with strong outer leaves and a mild, sweet-aromatic flavour. They are ideal for raw salads and coleslaws.

Our Tips:

• Start seeds indoors from late January, plant out from mid-March
• Germination temperature: 15 to 20°C
• Loosen the soil thoroughly before planting out
• Seedlings must not be overgrown (root-bound) when transplanted — otherwise, they may bolt
• Ideal for cooler regions and summer cultivation
• Consistent water supply is particularly important
• Planting distance: Early and small pointed cabbage approx. 50 x 40 cm; summer and autumn cabbage approx. 60 x 50 cm (for smaller heads approx. 50 x 35 cm); for processing/sauerkraut approx. 60 x 60 cm
