Description
With its deep red leaves, this basil is highly decorative and looks very attractive when bunched. Its aromatic leaves provide a tasty addition to a wide variety of dishes.
Our Tips:
- Light germinator - do not cover seeds with soil during sowing; simply press them down gently
- Ideal for growing in pots
- Grows very well alongside tomato plants
- Slightly more sensitive than green basil varieties
- Requires regular watering and consistent fertilisation
- Start seeds indoors from March, plant out from May
- Needs warm temperatures
