Our Tips:
- Germination: Requires temperatures above 22°C. Rapid emergence is crucial for healthy development.
- Sowing: Direct sow outdoors after the last frost, typically from mid-May onwards.
- Temperature Protection: On chilly May nights (below 10°C), cover plants with horticultural fleece for protection.
- Handling: Do not "prick out" (transplant) young seedlings; they have sensitive roots and prefer to be started in individual pots.
- Transplanting: Ensure young plants are not "overgrown" or root-bound when planting out; the ideal stage is when they have two to three true leaves.
