Description

This vibrant seed mix is a must-have for all tomato enthusiasts, featuring three distinct varieties that bring a delicious range of colours and flavours to your table - a guaranteed hit for both adults and children alike.

Contents:

Yellow Submarine: This variety produces large clusters of pear-shaped, yellow fruits with a mild, fruity flavour and tender skin. It requires rain protection as the delicate fruits are somewhat prone to splitting.

Matina: A reliable, early-maturing standard tomato suitable for both outdoor and greenhouse cultivation. Its vibrant red fruits offer a pleasant, fruity-sweet taste.

Dorenia: Thanks to its high tolerance to late blight, this variety does not strictly require a rain cover. It produces firm, oval fruits with a perfectly balanced, fruity aroma.

Our Tips:

  • Germination: Maintain a consistent temperature of 20 to 24°C.
  • Sowing: Start seeds in the brightest and warmest indoor spot available.
  • Temperature Control: Move seedlings to a cooler location after germination.
  • Planting Out: Move outdoors only after the "Ice Saints" (mid-May); remember to "harden them off" for a few days first.
  • Deep Planting: When transplanting, bury the root ball deeply; tomatoes develop adventitious roots along the main stem, which leads to a more robust root system.
  • Support: These varieties require a stake, trellis, or twine for support.
  • Protection: We recommend a rain cover to protect against late blight (except for the tolerant Dorenia).
  • Pinching Out: Regularly remove (pinch out) the side shoots that appear in the leaf axils.
  • Maintenance: Remove the lower leaves once the first bottom clusters of fruit have been harvested to improve airflow.
  • Mulching: A layer of mulch is highly recommended to regulate moisture and soil temperature.
