This annual culinary herb is perfect for seasoning meat and potato dishes, as well as for sausage making and spice blends, whether used fresh or dried. In the garden, it also serves as a valuable plant for bees.
Our tips:
- Light-dependent germinator. Do not cover the seeds with soil, simply press them down lightly
- Sow from mid-March, plant out from May, and later prick out in clusters of 3–4 plants
- Prefers well-drained, calcareous soils and a warm, sheltered location
