Description
The butterfly ginger offers an overwhelming sight, as its inflorescences, adorned with bright yellow flowers, grow up to 20 centimetres long. They exude a wonderfully sweet fragrance and develop long stamens as well as orange-coloured fruits. Its leaves also reach a considerable size and contribute significantly to its imposing appearance.
Tips for cultivation:
- Place seeds approx. 1/2 cm deep in moist potting soil
- Cover with cling film and provide it with holes
- Remove the film every two to three days for 2 hours
- Keep the substrate moist but not wet
