Saflax Hare's-tail Grass / Bunny Tail Grass

This pretty, annual grass gets its name from its silvery-white, velvety-soft flowers that bob in the wind, reminiscent of fluffy bunny tails. It is not only an eye-catcher in the garden but also looks gorgeous in floral arrangements, both fresh and dried.

• Hare's-tail grass is originally native to the Mediterranean region and the Atlantic coast of Western Europe.

Our Tips:

• Enrich the potting soil with 25% perlite to increase the germination rate
• Gently press the seeds into the moist potting soil
• Cover the seed trays with film and provide them with holes so that the soil does not dry out
• Remove the film every two to three days for two hours to prevent mould formation
• Keep the potting soil moist but not wet
• Ideal germination temperature: 20 to 25°C
• Loves a very bright and full sun location
• The soil should be warm-dry, well-drained and loose
• Since the plant is an annual, it should simply be removed completely from the soil in spring
• Ideal as a specimen plant in a pot
