Description
Celeriac is a light-germinator and should be planted shallowly. It requires deep soil enriched with organic fertiliser. The large tubers are round to flat-round in shape, with creamy-white, highly flavourful flesh. Both the leaves and the tubers can be used in the kitchen. Good companion plants include leeks and dwarf beans; celeriac is also ideal for planting at the edges of cucumber beds.
