Description
The sausage tree belongs to the Bignoniaceae family. Due to its funny fruit, the tree has spread around the tropics. The leaves are oval shaped with wide, bell-shaped flowers that are brown-violet in colour. At the end of its long, finger-thick inflorescences sausage-like fruits develop. These fruits can grow up to 4 cm long.
